We bulk bill all of our CT and MRI scans that are eligible for a Medicare Rebate. We do have an out of pocket fee for basic X-Rays, Ultrasounds, Bone Density exams and pain management procedures. Fees charged by our clinic are consistent with providing a high quality medical imaging service. The fees vary depending on the procedure required and sometimes on the number of tests performed. Patients are advised of the cost of their examination when making an appointment.

Medicare Rebates

For many imaging studies, the Medicare rebate is substantially less than the actual cost of providing the service and you will be asked to make a gap payment. The gap payment is the difference between the fee charged and the Medicare rebate. The size of the gap payment varies depending on the type of examination.
Patients incurring a gap payment, who have a Medicare online account, will receive their Medicare Rebate amount into their nominated account within 24 hours. The Medicare rebate represents what the Federal Government is prepared to contribute towards the cost of health services.

Patients are asked to settle their accounts on the day of the procedure, unless otherwise pre-arranged with our office manager or nurse. Patients who are experiencing financial difficulty are encouraged to discuss their situation with their Doctor and our office manager.
We accept payments in the form of:

  • All major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard)
  • Personal cheques
  • Cash
  • Eftpos facilities are also available
Patients referred by TAC, Workcover and Veterans Affairs are encouraged to provide a pre-certification authority and sufficient claim details prior to their radiology appointment. We will be unable to perform any procedures until the relevant paperwork has been authorised by the respective Government agency or Insurance company
